WebTe Aratangata, Hira, active 1844-1870s Ngati Toa. Hira was the daughter of Te Aratangata, an elder brother of Te Rauparaha, and Rangiwhainga (Ngati Tama). Her father was a famous warrior chief of the Ngati Toa who was killed with Te Peehi, Te Pokaitara and others at Kaiapoi pa, Christchurch, about 1828. Hira later married Hohaia Te Pokaitara. WebTe had 14 siblings: Te Aratangata Te Aratangata, Te Rangikatukua Te Aratangata and 12 other siblings. Te married Rangi-Ta-Moana in 1805, at age 17 at marriage place.
