Webb17 sep. 2024 · The 20% max number is just that - the max that can be applied to long term fuel trim. Service manual says +-0 to +-20% is within spec. And IIRC it's +- 35 when you add them together together and shouldn't trigger a light. You should be throwing a code at that point. Not entirely sure how you can say it's non sense. Webb2 maj 2024 · About running rich, on the 1.4TSI one of the more common causes for this is fuel contamination in the oil. Specially if the HPFP is a bit worn, fuel will leak from it into the oil, because of a worn seal. Oil vapor would be high in fuel vapors wich would get sucked by the PCV back into the intake.
